The BVL e-commerce focus group was launched in early 2023 in collaboration with 4Flow. The aim of this initiative is to promote cross-industry exchange, constructive discussion of current issues and the development of joint, forward-looking results.
As a platform for discussing specialist topics in practical application, the focus group serves to promote professional contacts between retail companies active in the field of e-commerce, between their logistics managers and associated service providers.
The strategic and operational activities and current developments in the e-commerce sector form the focus of the BVL e-commerce thematic group. Surveys, statistical comparisons, analyses and optimisations serve to improve logistics competence, particularly with regard to the improvement of processes associated with an increase in efficiency in the logistics chain. The network aims to bring together decisionmakers from e-commerce and service companies in order to create a basis for exchange on current challenges in this complex business field and to serve the maintenance and updating of specialist knowledge through regular exchanges of views on problems and development trends in logistics and its environment.
Current member companies in this area are: 4Flow, Amazon Logistics EU, Beumer Group, Bundesverband E-Commerce und Versandhandel Deutschland e.V. (bevh), Fiege Group, MediaMarktSaturn, Musikhaus Thomann, mytheresa.com, Otto Group, Rhenus, SEVEN SENDERS, Thalia, Zalando.
