Johannes Berg is Director for Corporate Affairs at Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG – HHLA. HHLA is a leading European logistics company specializing in port handling, container transport, and logistics services. Headquartered in Hamburg and active in many European Member Staes, HHLA plays a central role in connecting maritime and hinterland transport, supporting global trade and supply chains.
In this role, Johannes Berg is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that represent the company’s economic and political interests in business, politics, and society. Johannes Berg is part of HHLA’s strategy team.
Previously, he established the Digital Hub Logistics & Commerce in Hamburg and developed it into one of the most significant ecosystems for startups and innovation management in the logistics sector. The Digital Hub Logistics and Commerce also is an EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub) funded by the EU Commission.
Johannes Berg studied International Relations in Dresden, Mexico City and Kaliningrad, and holds an Executive MBA in Innovation Management from the Vlerick Business School in Belgium and Stellenbosch University in South Africa. Throughout his professional career he has been working as an economic consultant in Brussels, The Netherlands and Ukraine.
