With the aim of promoting interaction between the various logistics disciplines, BVL invites 15 PhD candidates to come together on the opening day of the 8th International Scientific Symposium on Logistics to engage in an interdisciplinary dialogue that will help to improve the quality of their personal dissertation projects.
The 21st International PhD Candidates Workshop will take place in Karlsruhe on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year's focus topic will be "International Exchange for PhD Candidates".
The event will be held in English and will be moderated by:

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hartmut Zadek, Institute of Logistics and Material Handling Systems, Otto-von-Guericke-University, Magdeburg, Germany
Applications for participation in the 21st International PhD Candidates Workshop may be submitted by e-mail with immediate effect. Short vita with full contact details,
Topic of dissertation,
Start and scheduled completion of doctoral project,
Brief description of project, (including: Knowledge status; Innovations expected to result from the PhD thesis; Methodology; Initial insights)
As in last years, for PhD candidates, attendance at the workshop also includes a free participation in the 8th International Scientific Symposium on Logistics. During the symposium, the future logistics experts have the opportunity to get to know new methods and trends in logistics and supply chain management research and.
