The "transport logistic Munich" fair takes place every two years at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. Since 1978, transport logistic has established itself as the most important exhibition for logistics, mobility, IT and supply-chain management in the world and enjoys global recognition. It is a marketplace and a source of impetus that brings trade visitors from around the world together with exhibitors' innovative, future-oriented solutions. For the 13th time, transport logistic will give visitors a look at the entire value chain in logistics. Integrated in transport logistic 2011 is Air Cargo Europe, an exhibition and conference for the global air cargo business taking place for the fifth time.
A high-calibre conference programme is staged parallel to the exhibition in cooperation with BVL and provides an overview of the latest trends and developments in the global transport and logistics sector. In 2011, the presentations by experts were focused in particular on three different topics.

Telematics – Networking, Support, Efficiency Gains
Thursday, 12 May 2011, 1:00 - 2:30 pm, Forum Hall B3
"Telematics" is not a new concept, but the range of options for the use of telematics has increased dramatically in recent years. Together with the online availability of data, the intelligent integration of different telematics applications enables operators to react in real-time to unforeseen changes to planning schedules. This not only allows adjustment of vehicle itineraries based on updated traffic reports and short-notice orders but also constant status monitoring of both vehicle fleets and shipments.
