Chapter São Paulo

Recently BVL founded the Chapter Sao Paulo. The founding took place at the 3rd German-Brasilian Logistics Conference and was attended by the Brasilian Minister of Ports José Leonidas de Menezes Cristino. First Chapter Chairperson is Stephan Gruener, Managing Director of BMS Logística Ltda., São Paulo.

The 130 delegates showed great interest in BVLs initiative. The formal constituent meeting takes place within the next weeks where one or two additional chairpersons will be elected. Besides BVLs usual Chapter Programme with company tours and special topic exchange, this chapter wants to further develop the topics of the German-Brasilian Logistics Conference.

Next to infrastructure, especially in ports, those are the mega events to come and their special logistics challenges as well as the development of sustainable logistics. Chapter Sao Paulo is the third chapter abroad. The first two chapters constituted themselves in Shanghai und Beijing. Further chapters are to come.

At the founding of Chapter Sao Paulo: Hartmut Mekelburg (Memeber of the Board of BLG), Prof. Frank Straube (Managing Director TU Berlin), Jörn Fontius (Management BVL), Stephan Grüner (Managing Director BMS Logistica), Hanno Erwes (Managing Director AHK Rio), Detthold Aden (CEO BLG); Guilherme Stüssi-Neves (President AHK Rio), José Leonidas de Menezes (Brasilian Minister of Ports) und Martin Günthner (Bremen Minister for Economy and Ports)
