German Logistics Association (BVL) will soon be staging its PhD Candidates Workshop for up-and-coming researchers and scientists for the ninth time. The interdisciplinary doctoral candidates' workshop during the Logistics Forum Duisburg offers participants the opportunity to talk about the business management and engineering aspects of supply chain management, to establish contacts with international scientists from various specialist fields and to further their own research from both a content-based and methodological point of view.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. The event will be held in German. Professor Dr. Werner Delfmann from Cologne University and Professor Dr. Herbert Kotzab will be the joint moderators for the workshop. For PhD candidates, attendance at the workshop also includes participation in the 10th Logistics Forum Duisburg.
Now is the time to enter your doctoral thesis project for the PhD Candidates Workshop; send your application documents to us by e-mail by January 11, 2009 at the latest. The submitted documentation (max. three pages) in English should contain the following information:
- Short vita with full contact details
- Topic of dissertation
- Supervising professor
- Start and scheduled completion of doctoral project
- Brief description of project (1. Knowledge status; 2. Innovations expected to result from the PhD thesis; 3. Methodology; 4. Initial insights)
