Your contribution to the ongoing development of the logistics sector

Since 1978, Bundesvereinigung Logistik has been promoting and supporting the development of logistics in Germany. At the beginning of each year, BVL traditionally calls on its members to play an active role in the organisation of our events.

We would like to incorporate the expertise of our members in the preparations for BVL events and therefore provide you with an opportunity to actively influence the content focus of conferences, meetings and forums. Send us any ideas and suggestions you have for any of the BVL events. By using the internet form below or sending an email to veranstaltung@bvl.de (containing the relevant information in the same layout as that used on the reply form), you can:

• make topic suggestions for sequences or tracks
• recommend individual topics and speakers/moderators or
• apply to hold your own presentation on a chosen topic.

The size of company you work for is immaterial. Our call is addressed in equal measure to logistics experts in big, medium-sized and small companies.

Please submit your suggestions for the 27th German Logistics Congress in Berlin by 31st March 2010. Please note that, due to our internal way of event planning, suggestions that are submitted at a later stage are less likely to be considered.

Important information for those submitting suggestions:

Each presentation is part of a sequence, in other words a succession of presentations. In order to avoid repetition, the sequence moderator coordinates the contents of the presentations. All advertising is prohibited. Each talk is allotted between 15 and 30 minutes plus a further ten minutes for questions from the audience. The presentations are staged using MS PowerPoint, and they must be available (ideally together with an abstract) in good time prior to the event.

If you are a business consultant who is or has been involved in the planning and implementation of exemplary logistics concepts, we would ask you to motivate your customers to hold a presentation at the Congress.

As logistics service provider, please apply together with your customers wherever possible.

Your suggestion will be catalogued by BVL head office and assigned to events or topic groups. The findings will be discussed in the concept teams and the corresponding choices made. This phase will be followed by coordination talks with potential speakers. We will naturally notify you of the final decisions of the concept teams.

All in all we devote a great deal of effort to selecting topics and speakers to ensure that the programme is varied and interesting. As in previous years, we will not be able to include all the topic suggestions, as we generally receive far more proposals for each event than we actually need. However, the suggestions that cannot be included in the programme or event will – as is the case every year – serve as a “database” of interesting ideas and talks for other BVL events.

In other words, it is always worth sending in your suggestions.
